Scammers are enjoying easy Aussie targets 😥

Australian businesses are being targeted by scammers at unprecedented levels. Stephen Jones, Assistant Federal Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, expects losses from scams to skyrocket to close to $4 billion in 2023. Payment redirection scams are expected to be amongst the top three frauds and up from the 2022 level of $224 million.

To make matters worse, the meteoric rise in cyber threats has caused the average premium for cyber insurance to rise to $60,000 — up from $33,000 just last year. As a result, many small and medium sized businesses seeking insurance are now priced out of protection.
